Perpetuum-Ebner

With Perpetuum-Ebner we have a long-established, resurrected German record player manufacturer from St. Georgen in the Black Forest.

Behind the company, which was founded in 1911 by Josef Steiniger under the name Perpetuum and renamed Perpetuum-Ebner in 1936, there is an extremely interesting story, which we would be happy to tell you if you are interested.

The current portfolio currently includes several turntable models based on subchassis as well as a direct drive, which in terms of sound are in no way inferior to comparison and even outperform several times more expensive mass-produced drives.

Audition 6 is happy to have a local manufacturer in its range where sound, appearance and feel are in harmony and all this with an excellent price/performance ratio.

The portfolio currently includes the models

PE 7070

PE 6060

PE 4040 MK 2

PE 3030 / Limited Edition

PE 2525 MK 2

PE MC 1 - The reference pickup

Low output moving coil with an output voltage of 0.4mV, a frequency response of 20 – 50,000 HZ (+/- 1db), internal impedance of 42 Ohm, open design, aluminum housing, boron needle carrier, Microridge stylus characterize this top system.

High-purity copper wire, square coil arrangement and a weight of 9.2 grams with a recommended tracking force of 2.0 grams round off the technical data.

With a compliance of 15µm / mN and a tracking capability > 80µm, the PE MC 1 is the ideal partner for our top tonearm, the PE TO 2018.

Previously mounted on the PE 7070 (electronic direct drive), and since the beginning of 2024 also on the PE 6060, it will also be available on the brand new PE 3030 models at HIGH END 2024.

PE 2525 MK2 - The Upgrade

PE 7070 - The direct drive reference

PE 1010 MK2 - The entry into the world of Perpetuum-Ebner

The Perpetuum Ebner PE 1010 MKII turntable is PE's most affordable subchassis turntable. Nevertheless, it offers all the technologies that make a Perpetuum Ebner stand out: subchassis drive with split main chassis, belt drive and symmetrical cabling.
Absolute smoothness and precise adherence to the target speed are guaranteed by a synchronous motor that transmits the movement to an aluminum sub-platter via a belt. The speed is selected electronically using the switch on the chassis.

In 2016, alongside the PE 4040, it was the first record player of the new PE generation. In the second generation, it received a PE TO 2016 tonearm with a carbon fiber tonearm tube, specially developed by PE. In its price range, it offers unique high-end enjoyment.
